The Buffalo Sabres today announced they will be holding an online auction of game-worn home and away jerseys from the second half of the 2010-11 season. Each jersey will come with a certificate of authenticity. The proceeds from the auction will benefit the Buffalo Sabres Foundation.
The blue home jerseys were worn in the 13 home games beginning with Jan. 11 vs. Philadelphia and ending with Mar. 13 vs. Ottawa. The white away jerseys were worn in the 18 road games starting with the Jan. 4 game at Colorado and ending with the Mar. 12 game at Toronto. The alternate jerseys were worn until the end of the season.
The auction will begin today 5 p.m. on the NHL.com Auction Site
. The home and away jersey auctions run until 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Apr. 27. The alternate jersey auction will end at 8 p.m. on the same day. Fans can access the auctions by logging onto the auction section of Sabres.com.
