The Official Site of the Buffalo Sabres

Linette Koren and Karen Proctor were the lucky recipients of some Buffalo Sabres merchandise this month thanks to Miller Lite.

The sweepstakes began in February, taking place at many Rite Aid locations and various other retailers throughout Western New York.  Participants could either by texting or mailing in their entries.

Two winners – Linette and Karen, both of Rochester, N.Y. – were then selected randomly on March 23.

Before the Sabres took on the Hurricanes on April 6, Linette and Karen were pitted against each other at the Sabres Store at First Niagara Center to see who could spend as close to $500 on a shopping spree without going over.

Each contestant would have 60 seconds to race throughout the store and rack up a bill. Linette went on her shopping spree first, followed by Karen.

The grand-prize winner ended up being Linette, who spent $496.11 to Karen’s $463.56. Linette took home everything she picked up while Karen received $200 of her total haul.
