The Buffalo Sabres announced today that 98.9 FM The Buzz in Rochester, N.Y. will be joining the Sabres Radio Network for the playoffs, and will air each Sabres playoff game as well as the first 15 minutes of the post-game show.

The Buzz will take the place of its sister station, WROC 950 AM, on the Sabres Radio Network for the duration of the playoffs because it has a larger station reach. The Network currently includes four other stations - WBTA 1490 AM (Batavia), WKSN 1340 AM (Jamestown), WMXO 101.5 FM (Olean), and WGR 550 AM, the flagship station of the Sabres Radio Network.

Veteran broadcasters Rick Jeanneret and Jim Lorentz will call the action on the Sabres Radio Network, while Brad Riter will host the postgame show.
