Even if you don’t have a ticket for the games, the Buffalo Sabres are encouraging fans to show their support for the home team by wearing your Sabres colors to work or school on Monday, and for all Sabres home games throughout the 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Sabres colors can be shown off in any form, including jerseys, t-shirts and hats.
The Sabres will also be hosting a “Party in the Plaza”
before each home playoff game during the 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs. . The parties have been expanded this season, with a second video screen added to accommodate more fans while allowing everyone to see all of the action.
Pre-game festivities will begin at 5 p.m. for Games 3 & 4 on Monday (Apr. 18) and Wednesday (Apr. 20). The parties will take place in the Plaza area located near Perry St. and Illinois St. and will feature live music from Lance Diamond until 30 minutes before puck drop.
Fans without tickets to the game are also encouraged to come join the party free of charge. At game time, MSG’s game feed will be shown on two 9’ x 12’ telescopic video screens in the Plaza. Food, beverages and merchandise will be available for purchase before the game and will continue to be sold throughout. There will also be special guest appearances from several Sabres personalities.
Perry St. will be closed between Main St. and Illinois St. during all plaza parties. The HSBC Arena Parking Ramp Illinois St. entrances will remain accessible via South Park Ave. and Perry St.
