The Buffalo Sabres announced today they will be unveiling their new third jersey on Saturday, September 20, as part of “Puck Drop 2008” presented by Verizon FiOS
at HSBC Arena.
This day-long event will be an opportunity for fans of all ages to share in the excitement of the first day of training camp with a full day of events, including the opportunity to purchase individual tickets for the new season. Admission and arena ramp parking are both free.
When the Sabres hit the ice for their first full practice of the season, fans will get their first look at the team’s new third jersey that will make its debut during the 2008-09 NHL season. The jersey features a modernization of the team’s vintage design elements, while incorporating the latest in sports uniform technology. Fans will be able to pre-order the new jersey at a kiosk in the Sabres Store.
“Puck Drop 2008” presented by Verizon FiOS will also play host to the inaugural Buffalo Sabres Adult Street HockeyFest on the streets surrounding HSBC Arena. The day-long street hockey tournament is open to men and women ages 18 and up, at a cost of $150 per team. Each team consists of up to five people and all teams are guaranteed three games. Each team member will receive a HockeyFest hat and t-shirt. Applications are only available online. REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED.

Fans will have the chance to get up close and personal with their favorite Sabres at an autograph session. Full details on the autograph session will be made available closer to the event.
