The Buffalo Sabres today announced plans to host tailgate tent parties outside of First Niagara Center prior to most home games throughout the 2011-12 season. The Buffalo Sabres Tailgate Tent Party Presented by Labatt Blue Light will be held in a 3,200-square foot enclosed tent and will feature live bands and entertainment, along with other Sabres events throughout the year.
The tent’s grand opening will occur prior to the team’s game against Florida on Saturday, Oct. 29 and will run from 5 p.m. until puck-drop at 7 p.m. Buffalo Sabres forward Tyler Ennis
will be making a special appearance to help kick off the season of tailgate parties and mingle with those in attendance. The Rig, a local cover band, will be the musical entertainment for the night. A slate of live bands from Western New York is expected to perform at select tent parties throughout the season.
The party tent, located in the plaza outside of First Niagara Center, will be a permanent fixture throughout the 2011-12 season and is completely enclosed and heated. Tickets will be required to enter the pregame parties, which will run for two hours preceding all home games. Fans attending the game can purchase $10 standalone tickets (which includes your first drink) or opt to buy a special ticket package for $55 (based on ticket availability & variable pricing), which includes a 300 Level-II game ticket and admission to the tent. Access to the tent parties will be restricted to fans that are 21 years of age and older.
Along with food and beverages, party-goers will be able to purchase special Sabres and Labatt Blue Light merchandise inside the tent.
