The Buffalo Sabres have partnered with AAA Western & Central New York to offer Sabres fans a unique travel opportunity when the team opens the 2011-12 NHL season in Germany as part of the 2011 Compuware NHL Premiere Games.
The six-night trip runs from October 2-9, and includes stops in Frankfurt, Munich and Berlin. The Sabres will play an exhibition game against Adler Mannheim at SAP Arena in Mannheim on October 4. They will then travel to Berlin to face the Los Angeles Kings in a regular season game on October 8 at the O2 World Arena. Fans will also have the opportunity to spend a full day in Munich on October 6 to explore the city’s rich history.

For just $1699 per person (double occupancy), the trip includes: six nights accommodations, transportation to all planned events, tickets to both games, breakfast daily, along with special planned team events. All applicable taxes and fees are included. Airfare and trip insurance are not included. Space is limited.
There is also an optional tour that can be added to the package, allowing fans to fly to Helsinki, Finland, for the team’s season opener on October 7 versus Anaheim at the Hartwall Areena.

Stop in Rothenburg en route. One of Germany's best-preserved walled towns, Rothenburg is one of Germany’s medieval gems. In the Middle Ages, when Frankfurt and Munich were just wide spots in the road, Rothenburg was Germany's second-largest city, with a whopping population of 6,000. Today it is one of Europe's most exciting medieval towns, enjoying tremendous tourist popularity and hosting a wealth of history and culture.
OCTOBER 6 – DAY ON OWN TO EXPLORE MUNICH
Munich is a city of palaces and public parks, art and coats of arms, Oktoberfest and oompah bands. See the famous Neuschwanstein Castle, and the many historical sites throughout this beautiful. And of course, no Munich visit would be complete without meeting strangers while drinking the local brew at a beer garden
OCTOBER 7 – DEPART BY TRAIN FOR OVERNIGHT IN BERLIN
The start of the 2011-12 season kicks off as the Buffalo Sabres take on the Anaheim Ducks in Helsinki, Finland on October 7, 2011.(Fly to Helsinki for Buffalo Sabres vs. Anaheim Ducks with overnight in Helsinki. Return flight to Berlin on October 8, 2011 to join group.)
OCTOBER 8 – SABRES VS. LOS ANGELES KINGS
The East and West conferences clash as the Buffalo Sabres take on the Los Angles Kings on October 8 in Berlin Germany.
OCTOBER 9 – RETURN TO USA
