More than 400 people attended the 2008 SabreKidz Summer Picnic at the Ballpark on Sunday afternoon.
The event featured a Bison’s game at Dunn Tire Park and included food, prizes and an autograph session with Sabretooth and Buffalo Sabres forward Adam Mair.
Mair also threw out the first pitch prior to the Bison’s 2-1 victory against the Syracuse Skychiefs.
"We were very excited to partner with the Buffalo Bisons for this year's SabreKidz day," said Sabres Manager of Community Development Rich Jureller. "It was a perfect day for our members and their families to be outside to see a ballgame as well as have the opportunity to meet Adam Mair and Sabretooth."
The SabreKidz Club, created during the 2003-04 season, was designed to foster the love of hockey in the youngest generation of Sabres fans. The only official kids club of the Buffalo Sabres consists of boys and girls ages 12 and under. Members receive exclusive benefits such as SabreKidz merchandise, invitations to SabreKidz Club special events, a membership ID card and much more.
