The annual SabreKidz Club picnic took place last Thursday, August 18 at Coca-Cola Field in downtown Buffalo, with more than 300 club members and their families in attendance. All SabreKidz Club members received a ticket to the baseball game between the Buffalo Bisons and Toldeo Mud Hens, a reusable water bottle, along with a hot dog and some delicious Perry’s ice cream. But the highlight for most came with a visit from Sabres forward Derek Roy and team mascot Sabretooth. They stuck around for over an hour signing autographs and posing for pictures with excited club members. In addition, the BlueCross BlueShield Healthy Zone cruiser provided some health-themed activities for the kids.
