The Buffalo Sabres announced today that Irish singer Ronan Tynan will sing “God Bless America” prior to Wednesday’s game against the Florida Panthers. Game time is 7 p.m.

Tynan has performed at a number of Buffalo Sabres games in the past, including the NHL Winter Classic at Ralph Wilson Stadium on January 1, 2008. During the game, fans can pick-up a copy of Ronan’s first Irish CD, “Sing Me An Irish Song,” that was released on March 12. Recorded in Ireland with the RTE Concert Orchestra, it includes favorites such as “Danny Boy,” “Ride On,” “Grace,” “Only Our Rivers Run Free,” “On Raglan Road” and more. The CD will be available at the Sabres Store or online at

Tynan will also be performing at the installation mass of the new Archbishop of New York, Timothy Dolan, on April 15 at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City.

A limited number of tickets remain for Wednesday’s game, along with Buffalo’s four other remaining home games. For more information call 1-888-Go-Sabres or visit
