JP Lamoureux notched his first career AHL shutout on Friday night, as the Portland Pirates claimed a 5-0 victory over the Hershey Bears.

The netminder stopped all 28 shots he faced at the Cumberland County Civic Center in his sixth game of the season.

Lamoureux got the start after Jhonas Enroth was recalled to the Buffalo Sabres to fill in for an injured Patrick Lalime

Kyle Wanvig, Jeff Cowan, Derek Whitmore, Travis Turnbull and Mark Mancari each added goals in the win.

Lamoureux has a .903 save percentage in the 2009-10 season.

Philip Gogulla notched the lone goal for the Pirates in Sunday’s 2-1 loss to the Springfield Falcons.

The Falcons scored twice in the opening six minutes of the second period to seal the win.

Gogulla, who also registered a pair of assists in the win against Hershey, ranks second on the team in rookie scoring with seven points (2+5) behind Tyler Ennis (6+5).

The loss marks the Pirates second defeat at home this season and drops Portland to 5-9-0-0 on the year.

This Week:

The Pirates start a three-game stretch on the road Wednesday night against Wilkes-Barre (6-4-1-1) at the Wachovia Arena at 7:05 PM. Thursday the Pirates travel to Buffalo and play at HSBC Arena against Rochester (11-1-1-0) at 7:00 PM. The Pirates finish up their road trip in Bridgeport facing the Sound Tigers (7-10-0-0) at the Harbor Yard Arena at 4:00 PM on Sunday.
