I've played against Steve Bernier in Juniors a little bit and I've met him a few times.

He's a big body that's really good in the corners, protects the puck really well, and was a pretty good scorer in Juniors so we know he has that scoring ability.  But we don't really see San Jose that often so I don't know that much about him at the professional level.

I know what he can bring at a physical level and he can score as well.  Just a good all-around player.

He's a big addition when it comes to physical play.  Like I said, he's a big guy, and right now, that's something that we probably have needed.  We're thin up front with a few injuries and he's a guy we're hoping can step in and help us win games.

I hope we don't have to worry about any letdowns without Brian Campbell.  Obviously, it's disappointing to see him go, but we have to move on as a team.  With Brian here or not, our focus remains the same; it's winning hockey games and making the playoffs.

I hope there is no worries in anybody else's mind.  There's none in mine.

But bring in more French guys!  I was happy to see they got Steve.  Hopefully, I'll get to know him a lot better.  I gave him a call last night and he seems really excited about joining the team.  I know we're excited to have him as well.
