Passing the Game On

by Staff Writer / Buffalo Sabres
Co-Captain Daniel Briere loves playing the game, especially with the new rules that are in place. Those rule changes have opened up the game and given skill players like Briere a chance to excel.

The Gatineau, Quebec native is also a huge fan of the game, especially when it comes to his three sons. Briere loves seeing the joy in his boys' faces as they play hockey. Even getting up at 5 a.m. to take his children to practice does not draw a frown.

Briere has tried to pass down some advice for his sons when it comes to the sport of hockey, but isn't forcing them to follow in his footsteps.

"They don't have to play if they don't want to," said Briere.

But apparently they just want to be like their father. Briere doesn’t mind one bit. His only goal for them is to work hard and have fun.
