The North Buffalo Bisons 10U Girls team continues their excellent play this season winning their first round of the Lower Lakes Female Hockey League playoffs. The team recently clinched their regular season south division championship in the Lower Lakes Female Hockey League. Moving on to the playoffs, The Bisons played the North Halton Twisters in the first round in a best of three series. The Lower Lakes league is comprised of teams from all of Ontario and Western New York.

The Bisons won both games convincingly with scores of 4-0 and 4-1. Goals in game one were scored by Abby Welch (East Amherst), Rachel dePerio (East Amherst), Abby Cleary (Buffalo) and Bridgette Prentiss (Buffalo). Assists went to Michele Robillard (Orchard Park), Cleary, Lexi Skibitsky (East Amherst), and Lina Mirabella (Tonawanda).

In game two scoring came from Michele Robillard (2), Cleary and dePerio. Assists went to Cleary, dePerio, Kelly Gramza (Williamsville), Olivia Smith (Tonawanda), and Prentiss. Outstanding goaltending was provided by Bailey Lewczyk (West Seneca) and Andrea Colan (Grand Island). Strong support was also provided by forwards by Ellie Cleary (Buffalo), Coaty Ostendorf (Buffalo), Anna Flaherty (Buffalo) and defense Claire Werynski (Williamsville), Julia Panepinto (Buffalo). The Bisons will play the Burlington Barracudas in the next two weeks in round two.

The Buffalo Bisons Girls Hockey organization provides the most competitive girls teams in Ontario and Western New York from the 19U age group down to the 10U level.
