Noronen Traded To Canucks

The Buffalo Sabres announced today the team has acquired a second-round selection in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for goaltender Mika Noronen.

Appearing in four games this season for Buffalo, Noronen recorded a record of 1-2-0 with a goals against average of 4.26 and a 0.844 save percentage.

In 67 career games, the Tampere, Finland native posted a goals against average of 2.64 and a save percentage of 0.902. A first-round selection (21st overall) in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft by Buffalo, Noronen posted a career-record of 22-31-6 during his tenure with the Sabres.
