NATIONAL FUEL & BUFFALO SABRES PARTNER TO FORM A NEW TEAM OF ENERGY DETECTIVES
/ Buffalo Sabres
Recently, more than 100 teachers from schools throughout National Fuel’s western New York service area were trained on the National Energy Education Development Project (NEED) conservation curriculum and will soon launch the program in their schools. This program is being offered as part of the Conservation Incentive Program and with assistance from the Buffalo Sabres.
Soon, a new corps of students all over western New York will be learning about energy, where it comes from, how we use it and, most importantly, how it can be conserved. The course work includes hands-on activities to perform energy audits at school and at home. And, those students will be in the running to win some great prizes from the Buffalo Sabres!
Look for the Sabres Green Team spokesperson, Paul Gaustad, and Sabretooth to spread the green word at local schools through our education initiative.
