MSG Network’s telecast of the Buffalo Sabres best games from the 2009-10 season begins tonight at 8 p.m.
The first installment of the eight-game lineup will feature Buffalo’s 3-2 shootout win against the Tampa Bay Lightning from October 24.Drew Stafford
notched the game at 2-2 with 16 seconds remaining in the third period, followed by rookie Tyler Myers
scoring in the sixth round of shootout to win the game. Ryan Miller
did not allow a single shootout score.

The Sabres finished the 2009-10 regular season atop the Northeast Division with a record of 45-27-10, the fourth-best record in the Eastern Conference, and advanced to the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time since the 2006-07 season.
Buffalo, celebrating its 40th Anniversary Season, opens the 2010-11 schedule on Friday, October 8 at Ottawa at 7:30 p.m. The Sabres host the New York Rangers the following night at 7:00 pm. for their home opener. The teams’ 2010-11 television schedule will be released at a later date. MSG has been the television home of the Sabres since 2005.
