Buffalo Sabres' Ryan Miller was named as one of three goaltenders invited to participate in the United States Olympic Hockey Orientation Camp next month.

Joining Miller at the camp from Aug. 17-19 in Woodbridge, Ill. are netminders Jonathan Quick and Tim Thomas. In all, 34 players – including 19 forwards and 12 defensemen – made the first cut and were selected to the camp.

Miller was previously a member of Team USA at the 2001 IIHF World Championships and competed in both the 2002 and 2003 World Championships as well. He also served as an alternate for the United States during the 2006 Olympics in Torino, Italy.

Completing his sixth season with the Sabres in 2008-09, Miller posted a 2.53 goals-against average in 59 games, and compiled a 34-18-6 record.
