Ryan Miller continued skating at HSBC Arena on Monday morning, recovering from a high-ankle sprain he suffered last month. He was also in net for the first time, facing a few shots before the team practiced.
Head Coach Lindy Ruff said a timetable has still not been made for the netminder’s return to the lineup, but added that the on-ice workouts have not caused any setbacks.
“He’s progressing obviously to get out there and take a few [shots],” Ruff said. “He’s feeling better… it probably is the next step.”
Miller was hurt Feb. 21 in a game against the New York Rangers when Scott Gomez collided with the goaltender behind the net. He has missed 10 games due to the injury.
