The Buffalo Sabres today announced that former Sabres’ captain Michael Peca will join U.S. National Junior team General Manager Jim Johannson as a guest speaker at the Power Play Luncheon at noon on Tuesday, December 7. Peca will be on hand to talk about his experiences on the road to winning gold with Team Canada at the 1994 IIHF World Junior Championship. The luncheon will take place in the HSBC Arena 100 Level Harbour Club.
Johannson will announce Team USA’s preliminary roster for the 2011 IIHF World Junior Championship at an 11 a.m. press conference immediately preceding the luncheon. The roster will include approximately 28 players, who will gather in Albany, NY on December 16 for a training camp. This year’s tournament will take place in Buffalo from December 26, 2010 to January 5, 2011.
Tickets for the luncheon are available for purchase at www.sabres.com. Ticket options include individual tickets priced at $35 and a $300 group option that includes a table for up to 10 people.
