Patrick Kaleta's assignment with the Buffalo Sabres is over for the time being.  Kaleta was reassigned to the Rochester Americans (AHL) on Friday morning.

In the first eight games of his NHL career, Kaleta recorded 19 hits, no points, two penalty minutes and a minus-two rating.

Kaleta's largest contribution came in the form of his physical play.  He leaves the team ranked second in hits per game (2.0), trailing only center Paul Gaustad (2.31).

Skating on the fourth line for the entirety of his assignment, the Buffalo, N.Y. native averaged eight shifts per game and 6:10 TOI.
