Buffalo Sabres’ defenseman Teppo Numminen will miss tonight’s match-up against the Philadelphia Flyers due to an ankle injury.

Head Coach Lindy Ruff said the veteran blueliner has “more of an infection than an injury” and is expected to be out a couple of days.

In other injury news, Ryan Miller participated in Friday’s morning skate with the team. It was the netminder’s first full practice since suffering a high-ankle sprain Feb. 21.

Ruff said there is still no timetable for Miller’s return, “but we’ve got no setbacks.”

Adam Mair also skated at HSBC Arena. The centerman has been out with a knee injury he sustained Mar. 14 against the Atlanta Thrashers. Mair skated on his own Thursday before practice and is expected to return within a few days according to Ruff.
