The Buffalo Sabres today announced they will be holding an online auction of game-worn 40th Anniversary Jerseys the 2010-11 season. Each jersey will come with a certificate of authenticity. The proceeds from the auction will benefit the Buffalo Sabres Foundation.
The classically-designed jerseys were designed as a tribute to the history of Buffalo hockey, and were worn from the beginning of the season through the Sabres’ Jan. 1 game against the Boston Bruins.The auction will begin today at 5 p.m. and run until Mar. 27 at 9 p.m. Fans can access the auction and place a bid by logging onto the auction section of Sabres.com.
The Buffalo Sabres Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit foundation that is committed to enhancing the quality of life in the Western New York region. In that process, the Buffalo Sabres Foundation strives to assist worthwhile organizations that make this region a better place to live and work.
