The Official Site of the Buffalo Sabres

by Staff Writer / Buffalo Sabres

The Buffalo Sabres opened their quest to the 2007 Stanley Cup with a snapshot of life in Western New York. Set to "Better Days" by Buffalo rock band the Goo Goo Dolls, the minute and a half video portrays the area as it's seen by local residents and gives the hope of "Better Days" ahead for Sabres hockey.

Created by Sabres feature producer Matt Gould, scenes such as Main Street in East Aurora, a local construction site and an assembly line at General Motors Corp.'s plant in Tonawanda were interspersed with footage from Buffalo's Presidents' Trophy season; syncing the heartbeat of the community with the heartbeat of the team.

Total production took over two weeks once the initial concept and song - suggested by Managing Partner Larry Quinn - were chosen. A select few shots in the video were even provided by Buffalo's Convention and Visitors Bureau.
