Rob Ray has done some damage in his career.
Collecting more than 3,200 penalty minutes in his 15-year NHL tenure, the enforcer has broken a few bones and undoubtedly bruised some egos along the way.
But on March 7, 1993, Ray found another way to make an impact – quite literally – at Memorial Auditorium.
During a 2-1 victory against the Winnepeg Jets, 'Razor' chased the puck along the wall in the neutral zone. Stephane Quintal attempted to gain possession when Ray labeled the defenseman with a memorable hit through the glass.
It may not live on as one of Ray's most punishing hits, but the result makes this clip a classic as Harry Neale makes the call:
