Buffalo Sabres Forward, Paul Gaustad, is a fan favorite to say the least. He is the go-to guy on the ice from face-offs to fights…and over the past 3 years, he has been the go-to guy for helping local kids dealing with cancer.
Well now, a whole new Gaustad-fever is about to take over in a big way. On Thursday, March 25th, the sale of “Goose” hats will begin. Hats are $25 and are available at www.goose28.com
. All proceeds of the “Goose Hat” sales will go directly to funding the many programs and services Camp Good Days provides to children in WNY with cancer.
“I am really proud to be a part of this organization,” remarked Gaustad, “and I’ve become friends with many of the children that Camp Good Days helps.”
From baking Christmas cookies and playing street hockey with the children to serving as the chairperson of Camp’s Annual Gala, Gaustad has formed a close partnership with the organization
He continued, “I visited a Camp Good Days child last week in the hospital. He was recovering from his 5th lung surgery. 15 years old. He’s a great kid and to see him smile is priceless. That is what Camp Good Days does – they make even the sickest of kids smile. I decided I wanted to do more and get more of the WNY community involved…and that’s where the idea of the hats came from.”
