Sabres sign Tokarski to 2-year deal

The Buffalo Sabres have signed goaltender Dustin Tokarski to a two-year contract worth an average annual value of $725,000, the team announced Wednesday.
Tokarski, 31, posted a .924 save percentage in 18 games last season with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, the AHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins. He is a two-time Calder Cup champion (2012 and 2019) and was selected to the AHL All-Star Game in 2013-14.

In 30 career postseason AHL games, Tokarski has a 1.85 goals-against average and a .932 save percentage.
Selected by Tampa Bay during the fifth round of the 2011 NHL Draft, Tokarski has appeared in 34 career NHL games and posted a .904 save percentage.
Before turning pro, the Watson, Saskatchewan native won the 2008 Memorial Cup - the top prize in Canadian junior hockey - with the Spokane Chiefs, where he was named the tournament's most valuable player. He also won a gold medal with Team Canada at the 2009 IIHF World Junior Championship.
