The 21-year-old center posted back-to-back three-point efforts on Thursday (1+2) and Sunday (0+3), becoming the fourth Sabres skater aged 21 or younger to record three or more points in consecutive games, according to @SabresPR.
Dave Andreychuk (February 8 to 9, 1984), Gilbert Perreault (December 19 to 23, 1971) and Pierre Turgeon (October 13 to 17, 1990) also accomplished the feat with Buffalo.
"He's doing the right things all the time," Rasmus Dahlin, who was named the NHL's First Star of the Week for the week ending October 23, said. "He defends well but offensively he never does anything wrong, it feels like. He's protecting the puck, makes the play when he has to. He's got skill and a great shot, so he's got it all, I feel like."

COL@BUF: Cozens scores PPG in 2nd period

In his third NHL season, Cozens has nine goals and 24 points through 25 games, putting him on pace for 29 goals and 78 points. He had 13 goals and 38 points in 79 games last season.
He's also anchored a line with rookie wingers Jack Quinn and JJ Peterka. Their production has helped the Sabres to 92 goals, second-most in the NHL.

When they were on the ice against the San Jose Sharks at 5-on-5 on Sunday, the line held an edge in shot attempts (15-5), scoring chances (14-4), and high-danger shot attempts (7-2), according to Natural Stat Trick.
"I think it's just a lot of chemistry," Quinn said. "…Me and JJ played together last year, and I'm really familiar with Cozey. He's such an easy guy to play with, he makes us better. It's just clicking and we're continuing to get better each game, which is a good sign."
All three players, plus Dahlin, Tage Thompson and Jeff Skinner, are currently on four-game point streaks.
