The Buffalo Sabres have assigned forward Curtis Lazar to the Rochester Americans of the AHL.

Lazar was recalled on Sunday in anticipation of the Sabres' three-game trip through California.

The 24-year-old forward has one assist in three AHL games this season. He posted AHL career highs in goals (20), assists (21) and points (41) in 57 games with the Stockton Heat in 2018-19, earning a spot at the 2019 AHL All-Star Classic.

The Amerks are set to play two games this weekend. They'll host Cleveland tonight at Blue Cross Arena and then head out to Utica to play the Comets tomorrow.

Buffalo wraps up its road trip tomorrow night in San Jose. They'll play the Sharks again on Tuesday at KeyBank Center.
