Buffalo Sabres netminder Patrick Lalime was on the ice prior to the morning skate today.
Head Coach Lindy Ruff said it was the first time Lalime participated in an on-ice session "that had any meaning" since being injured and expects him to practice on Thursday.
Lalime has not skated with the team since Nov. 2 after suffering a groin strain during practice.
Toni Lydman was also back on the ice, skating with the team for the first time since Nov. 5. The defenseman has not been in the lineup since Oct. 24, suffering a groin strain in a game against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
