Tim Connolly will be absent from his second consecutive game tonight when the Sabres face the Carolina Hurricanes in HSBC Arena (7:30 p.m., MSG) and could be in danger of missing a third tomorrow.

Following the team's game-day skate, head coach Lindy Ruff explain that the talented pivot would again be forced to the press box from his incessant hip injury.

Connolly's day-to-day designation means that the team will not decide on his status for Saturday night's inter-division contest against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

"It's based on the pain," Ruff continued.  "He may not be able to play tomorrow.  He couldn't play our last game and he had rest, so we're at a point where he may not play."
