The Buffalo Sabres are hosting youth hockey games at First Niagara Center throughout the duration of the 2011-12 regular season as part of their “Future Sabres” amateur hockey initiative.
The “Future Sabres” program is designed to give local hockey players an opportunity to play on the same ice as the Sabres before enjoying an NHL game from the stands with their family and friends.
The youth hockey games, which are limited to Squirt-level players and younger, will take place at 3:15 p.m. before all 7 p.m. Sabres home games, and at 3:45 p.m. for all 7:30 p.m. starts. Teams are to report to First Niagara Center an hour before they are scheduled to take the ice. There is limited availability for reservations as ice times are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
