Eric O'Dell continued his torrid scoring over the weekend and the Rochester Americans came from away from their 3-in-3 stretch with a pair of wins. O'Dell scored in a 3-1 win over the Utica Comets on Friday and then again in a 7-4 win in Syracuse on Saturday. They'll play again on Wednesday when they take on Lehigh Valley at 7:05 p.m. at the Blue Cross Arena.

The Amerks dropped their third contest of the weekend, at home against the Binghamton Senators, by a score of 6-1 on Sunday to snap their four-game winning streak.

With goals in the two wins, O'Dell has five points (4+1) in his first five games with the Amerks since being acquired from the Ottawa Senators organization on Feb. 27. His 22 goals this season lead the team and rank 11th in the American Hockey League.

UTICA 1 - ROCHESTER 3
O'Dell opened the scoring for Rochester on Friday, netting a goal off of a blocked Chad Ruhwedel shot 7:55 into the contest. Justin Bailey scored to extend the lead to 2-0 55 seconds into the second and, after Chris Higgins scored one for Utica in the third, Ruhwedel got a goal of his own on the empty net.

Linus Ullmark made 30 saves in net for the Amerks, who were outshot 31-29. Rochester went 0-for-5 on the power play, but was a perfect 4-for-4 on the penalty kill.

ROCHESTER 7 - SYRACUSE 4
Jonathan Drouin, fresh off of a 19-game hiatus from the Tampa Bay Lightning organization due to a team-imposed suspension, opened with back-to-back goals for the Syracuse Crunch when the Amerks met them on Saturday.

Once O'Dell scored 13:49 into the second period, however, it opened the floodgates for Rochester. Bailey scored later in the period and Evan Rodrigues added another 40 seconds into the third. Syracuse answered with a goal 14 seconds later, but Ruhwedel and William Carrier added back-to-back goals and Alex Guptill and Nicholas Baptiste each scored on the empty net.

Ullmark won his second game in as many nights with 25 saves on 29 attempts.

BINGHAMTON 6 - ROCHESTER 1
While the new Amerks players were responsible for the team's winning streak, it was the departed Amerks who played key roles in ending it. Phil Varone had four points (1+3), Jason Akeson had three assists and Jerome Leduc also scored for the Senators in their 6-1 win.

Baptiste scored the lone goal for the Amerks. Nathan Lieuwen took the loss in net with 26 saves on 32 attempts.
