The Amerks come into the final two weeks of the 2017-18 regular season sitting in third place in the AHL's North Division standings with 83 points, 10 points behind the Syracuse and just one point ahead of the fourth-place Utica Comets.

As the Utica Comets (34-24-6-4) and the Rochester Americans (31-20-11-6) combined for four power-play goals, it was the Amerks who came out on the wrong side of a 3-2 overtime score against their North Division rivals at The Blue Cross Arena. It was also the fifth straight game between the two teams that went beyond regulation.
With his third goal in the last two games, Seth Griffith tallied his 15th marker of the campaign while Zach Redmond notched his 14th of the year for Rochester, which is winless in three straight games against Utica.
Goaltender Adam Wilcox suffered the loss in-between the pipes as he finished the night with 19 saves. The South St. Paul, Minn., native shows a record of 11-7-7 on the season.

Second-year forward Colin Blackwell capped a career-high four-point night, scoring just 12 seconds into overtime to lead the Rochester Americans (32-20-11-6) to a thrilling 4-3 overtime win in the final game of a four-game homestand against the Charlotte Checkers (39-26-1-3) Friday at The Blue Cross Arena.
Blackwell tallied a pair of goals and two assists to extend Rochester's point streak to three games and give the Amerks their seventh game in which they earned at least one point of the last eight on home ice.
Zach Redmond buried his 15th goal of the season to go along with his 30th helper of the year while Alexander Nylander lit the lamp for the seventh time this season. Redmond has 10 points (3+7) over his last eight games to regain the team lead in scoring with 45 points in 61 games.
In his first home start of the season and third appearance of the slate, goaltender Jonas Johansson earned his first victory of the year as he made 18 saves.

March 31: RCH 5 - BNG 3

The playoff-bound Rochester Americans (33-20-11-6) scored four unanswered third-period goals to come away with a 5-3 victory over the Binghamton Devils (23-36-7-4). Saturday night's contest from the Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena was the 10th and final meeting between the North Division rivals this season.
The win also keeps Rochester one point ahead of the Utica Comets in the AHL's North Division standings going into the final two weeks of the regular season.
Eric Cornel recorded his first-career multi-goal outing as he scored a pair of goals from Garret Ross. Colin Blackwell and Hudson Fasching each chipped in a goal and assist for Rochester, which has points in four straight. Rookie Sean Malone rounded out the scoring with his 10th goal of the season while first-year goaltender Jonas Johansson picked up his second victory in as many nights to even his record to 2-2-0 on the slate.
