The Rochester Americans found ways to win with a pair of victories last weekend.

TOR 2 - RCH 5

Marlies 2 - Amerks 5
Three power-play goals helped the Amerks to a victory over Toronto on home ice Friday night. Taylor Fedun (1+1), Cal O'Reilly (0+2) and Cole Schneider (0+2) had multi-point nights.
Hudson Fasching and Casey Nelson, who were sent down to get a pair of games in between Sabres matches each scored.
Toronto opened the scoring on a goal from Kasperi Kapanen, but Rochester answered with three-straight goals. The Marlies scored again early on in the third to make it 3-2, but Nelson and Daniel Catenacci closed out the scoring to put the game out of reach. Justin Bailey also scored for Rochester.
The power play finished 3-for-7 while the Amerks penalty kill went a perfect 4-for-4.
Linus Ullmark stopped 34 of 36 shots.

RCH 3 - BNG 1

Some late-game heroics from Schneider and Catenacci lifted the Amerks over the Senators on Saturday in Binghamton. Schneider scored with 45 seconds left to break a 1-1 tie and Catenacci added his second-straight empty netter to ice the victory.
Cal O'Reilly kicked things off with a goal midway through the first and the Amerks held that lead until Francis Perron scored to tie it up 12:19 into the third. Schneider finished with a goal and an assist. He leads the Amerks with 8 points (3+5) through five games.
Ullmark was solid in net, turning aside 38 shots to earn 1st Star honors.
With the pair of victories, Ullmark improved his save percentage to .926 and lowered his goals-against average to 2.75. He's now up with the Sabres to back up Anders Nilsson tonight in Philadelphia as Robin Lehner recovers from an illness.
With 6 points, the Amerks (3-2-0-0) currently sit in third place in the North Division, four points behind Albany and two points behind Toronto.
The Amerks will head to St. John's this weekend for games on Friday and Saturday. Both matches start at 6 p.m.
