RCH 2 - SYR 3

Highlights: Rochester vs. Syracuse

On Friday, the Amerks wore camouflage jerseys for Military Appreciation Night as they took on their rivals from the east in the Syracuse Crunch. With first and second period goals by Cole Schneider and Alexander Nylander (his second of the season), the Amerks went into the third period with a 2-0 lead. The Crunch came back in the third, scoring three goals and escaping town with the win before the Amerks hit the road for games two and three.

BNG 1 - RCH 4

Highlight: Rochester vs. Binghamton

Saturday's game against Binghamton was spearheaded by multi-point performances by former Senator Schneider and team captain Cal O'Reilly. Team newcomers Brady Vail, Justin Vaive and Kyle Bonis (who put on the Amerks jersey for the first time this week) each recorded their first points as Amerks. Linus Ullmark improved his record to 4-2-0 after stopping 29 of the 30 shots he faced, in the second of three straight starts over the weekend.

RCH 3 - HER 5

Highlights: Rochester vs. Hershey

A combined eight points (3+5) by the Schneider (1+1), O'Reilly (0+3) and JUSTIN BAILEY (2+1) line was not enough to clinch a win against Hershey on Sunday night. The Bears scored two early on and the Amerks couldn't quite catch up, and after successfully killing 28 penalties in a row, the Bears squeaked a power-play goal in, the first of its kind since Oct. 16.

Up next

The Amerks enter this week owning two of the top three point-getters in the AHL in veteran forwards Schneider and O'Reilly. Schneider currently tops the list of AHL points with 15 in 10 games, and O'Reilly sits in third with 13 in 10.

The Amerks begin another three-game weekend on Friday, Nov. 11 as they host the Hartford Wolf Pack for a Veterans Day matchup at The Blue Cross Arena. The team will again wear special Military-themed jerseys on Friday that will be auctioned off to benefit the Veterans Outreach Center.
