2010 Sabrekidz Summer Picnic (Buffalo Sabres)
More than 500 people gathered at Coca-Cola Field on Tuesday night for the 2010 SabreKidz Summer Picnic at the Ballpark.

The event featured a Bison’s game, as The Herd took on the Syracuse Chiefs, and included food, prizes and an autograph session with Buffalo Sabres forwards Derek Roy and Nathan Gerbe.

Sabretooth was also in attendance - and signed some autographs of his own. Click here to see a photo gallery.

"We had some great weather this year for the annual Sabrekidz picnic," said Rich Jureller, Manager of Community Development. "The kids really enjoyed the opportunity to meet a few players and catch a game of Bisons baseball.  It was great to see all of the family members that joined in on the fun too."

The SabreKidz Club, created during the 2003-04 season, was designed to foster the love of hockey in the youngest generation of Sabres fans. The only official kids club of the Buffalo Sabres consists of boys and girls ages 12 and under. Members receive exclusive benefits such as SabreKidz merchandise, invitations to SabreKidz Club special events, a membership ID card and much more.
