by Staff Writer / Buffalo Sabres
The Buffalo Sabres and MSG (MSG Network and FSN New York) today announced the team's television schedule for the 2006-07 regular season. Radio coverage of all 82 regular season Sabres games and all six preseason games will be simulcast by Sports Radio WGR AM 550.

MSG will broadcast 74 regular season games, and the Sabres will also appear seven times nationally on Versus (formerly OLN) and once on NBC's Game of the Week coverage. This season, Sabres fans will be able to watch all 82 of the team's regular season games. (Complete schedule attached.) In addition, Buffalo's preseason finale against Pittsburgh on Saturday, September 30 at 7 p.m. will be televised on MSG.

MSG Network recently announced a 10-year extension to telecast Sabres games, in which MSG will own the exclusive local rights to telecast the team's games. The deal will start after the 2006-07 season, and run through the 2016-17 season.

Rick Jeanneret and Jim Lorentz return to call the action for all MSG telecasts. Currently the longest-tenured broadcaster in hockey, the 2006-07 season marks Jeanneret's 35th year with the Sabres. Lorentz has been part of the Sabres broadcast crew since the 1992-93 season.

Buffalo Sabres hockey on MSG is directed by Eric Grossman and produced by Joe Pinter.

Once again this season, The Shootout can be seen following every Sabres telecast on MSG. Host Kevin Sylvester will be joined by Rob Ray and Mike Robitaille for complete post-game analysis and player interviews.

Buffalo Sabres individual game tickets for the 2006-07 regular season will go on sale starting Saturday, September 16 at 9 a.m. Tickets will be available in person at the HSBC Arena Box Office, all outlets in Tops Markets, online at, or charge by phone at 1-888-223-6000.
