DETROIT – For the third straight year the 11-time Stanley Cup champion Detroit Red Wings will be taking part in one of southeast Michigan’s most preeminent social media networking events. On Saturday, June 30, the Red Wings will participate in Social Media Day Detroit – an annual gathering of the region’s most esteemed Web 2.0 devotees.
Hosted by Livio Radio in partnership with MotorCity Casino Hotel and presented by ExactTarget, the 2012 edition of Social Media Day Detroit will connect the city’s digital community with several of its most powerful brands – including the iconic Winged Wheel. This event is set to be staged at Sound Board, inside MotorCity Casino Hotel on Saturday, June 30, from 11:00a.m. – 3:00 p.m (age restriction: 21 & older)
With the theme of ‘Detroit 2.0’ in tow, this year’s event will celebrate the city’s entrepreneurial spirit and reemerging downtown core as well as the vital role social media plays in today’s business world. In addition to a wide variety of networking opportunities, Social Media Day Detroit guests will enjoy a brunch style menu as well as a live DJ.
