by Staff Writer / Detroit Red Wings
DETROIT _ Pavel Datsyuk's unassisted, short-handed goal allowed the Red Wings to pull even, at 2-2, with Tampa Bay in Friday's pre-season game at Joe Louis Arena.

The Lightning (1-0) took a 1-0 lead in the first period when captain Vinny Lecavalier scored his second goal of the pre-season at 14:41.

Mikael Samuelsson tied the score for the Wings at 8:56 of the second period. The Wings are playing their second game in as many days.

A few minutes later, the Lightning was back on top when Eric Perrin scored his first of the pre-season.

Veteran goalie Dominik Hasek, who helped the Red Wings win the Stanley Cup in 2002, was back in the net for the Wings for the first time since the Cup-winning season. In two periods of work, Hasek turned away eight of the 10 shots faced.
