DETROIT -- The Red Wings are thrilled to announce the launching of WingsLive on Thursday, April 2.

WingsLive -- in the form of Cover it Live -- is a live chat that allows Wings' fans, who might otherwise not be near a TV or radio, to follow the exciting game action throught a narrative format.

WingsLive will debut during Thursday’s home game against the St. Louis Blues at Joe Louis Arena. Fans can follow the action, as well as post their own comments or questions.

WingsLive through the technology of CiL allows Wings' fans a narrative play-by-play coverage of the game. WingsLive will also have the ability to host informative Q&A sessions regarding everyone’s favorite hockey organization.

CiL president Keith McSpurren explained CiL as being, “a benefit for sport organizations because the software is engaging and interactive, which allows the fans to feel connected to their organization.”

CiL also provide the Red Wings with the ability to use WingsLive as a way to conduct live chats with players and front office personnel.

McSpurren also said that CiL has had wonderful feedback from other organizations. WingsLive will be another great tool for Wings fans have to access on our incredible interactive Web site.
