Wings get first preseason win, in OT

DETROIT (AP) -- Jason Williams' goal with 8 seconds left in overtime gave the Detroit Red Wings a 5-4 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning in a preseason game Friday night.

Dominik Hasek stopped eight of 10 shots over two periods in his first preseason game for Detroit (1-1-1). Mikael Samuelsson, Pavel Datsyuk, Henrik Zetterberg and Jakub Kindl had the Red Wings' other goals.

Tampa Bay's Vincent Lecavalier scored in the first period and had two goals in the last 5:22 of regulation to force overtime. Eric Perrin also scored for the Lightning (1-1).

The Lightning's Nikita Alexeev took an accidental stick in the face from Tomas Holmstrom with 3:38 remaining and was helped off the ice. Holmstrom received a double minor for high sticking.
