DETROIT – The Detroit Red Wings and AT&T are proud to announce a promotion with Uber, a smartphone app that connects riders to transportation options throughout Metro Detroit, to give fans an exciting way to travel to all Red Wings weekend home games at Joe Louis Arena. All riders selected and transported to The Joe in a designated Red Wings-AT&T Uber car will also receive an exclusive Red Wings experience, courtesy of AT&T.
Starting two hours prior to every Red Wings weekend home game, fans can use the Uber application on their smartphones to check availability and request a special Red Wings AT&T ride to the game. Up to 10 designated Red Wings-AT&T cars will be available throughout Metro Detroit for fans to select prior to every weekend home game.
Every fan who is selected for a ride to The Joe in a designated Red Wings-AT&T car will receive an exclusive Red Wings experience, which may include Zamboni rides, meet and greets with Red Wings players, autographed items, tickets, admission to watch the Red Wings practice and an opportunity to skate on the ice at Joe Louis Arena.
The promotion is available for the final 11 weekend home games of the 2014-15 season: Nov. 16 vs. Montreal; Nov. 30 vs. Vancouver; Dec. 6 vs. New York Rangers, Dec. 21 vs. Colorado Avalanche; Jan. 17 vs. Nashville; Jan. 18 vs. Buffalo; Feb. 14 vs. Winnipeg; March 22 vs. St. Louis; March 28 vs. Tampa Bay; and April 5 vs. Washington.
Fans who have never used Uber can also receive $30 off their first ride by entering the promotion code “ATTREDWINGS” in the Uber app.
