DETROIT -- The Red Wings will hold their third Kids Night of the season Wednesday, December 9 when the Red Wings take on the St. Louis Blues at Joe Louis Arena (FOX Sports Detroit and 97.1 The Ticket). Fans are encouraged to arrive early as the first 2,500 kids ages 12-and-under to enter the Joe will receive a plush toy Zamboni (photo attached). Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. puck drop.
The Kids Night toy Zamboni giveaway coincides with the 60th anniversary of the ice-resurfacing machine which made its NHL debut in 1954 by the Boston Bruins. Kids Night also marks the return of local organist Dave Calendine, who will accompany fans with the sounds of old-time hockey throughout the game.
Single-game tickets for the entire 2009-10 season are available at the Joe Louis Arena Box Office, all TicketMaster locations, including Hockeytown Café, Hockeytown Authentics in Troy, Mich., or charge by phone at 800-745-3000. Fans also can purchase tickets by logging on to DetroitRedWings.com.
