Start time for Red Wings-Rangers changed

DETROIT – The start time for the Detroit Red Wings’ upcoming road game against the New York Rangers has been moved up to accommodate NBC Sports’ national broadcast of the Game of the Week. The Red Wings and Rangers will now meet at 12:30 p.m. (original start time – 7:30 p.m.) on Sunday, March 9, at Madison Square Garden.

With 22 games left in the regular season, the Red Wings currently hold a wild card spot in the Eastern Conference playoff race, with a 28-20-12 record overall. Detroit will visit New Jersey on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. and host back-to-back home games against the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday at 8:00 p.m. and the Devils on Friday at 7:30 p.m. prior to the March 9 game against the Rangers.
