Due to popular demand, we have added a second Healthy Cooking class. Register today!
Who's ready to slice, dice, sauté' and simmer? The Detroit Red Wings have partnered with Saint Joseph Mercy Health System for a Healthy Cooking Class to be hosted at Little Caesars Arena on Wednesday, Feb. 26. The package also includes a pair of tickets to the Red Wings vs. Florida Panthers game on Monday, March 16.
The inaugural event is part of Saint Joseph Mercy Health System's "Healthy Hockeytown" initiative.
Red Wings team chef William Ferrill and team dietitian Lisa McDowell, along with chefs Ryan Elsey and Ryan Kendall from St. Joe's, will lead the Healthy Cooking Class. The program costs $165, which includes the class on Feb. 26 and a pair of tickets to the March 16 game at Little Caesars Arena. Packages for one person can also be purchased for $85. Both options are available for purchase here.
Each participant will learn how to cook the selected items, followed by enjoying a dinner prepared separately. Dishes will also be available to bring home. Complimenting the cooking class experience will be a tour of the Red Wings dressing room and ancillary training and lounge areas.
Participants will learn to cook many of the popular items enjoyed by the Red Wings players, including Teff Balls, Chia Pudding, Overnight Oats, Balsamic Dressing, Meatloaf and Sweet Potato Mash.
Put your cooking skills to the test and get ready to usher in the spring season with Red Wings hockey! See you soon at Little Caesars Arena!
