To call the Red Wings banged up would be an understatement. If forwards Todd Bertuzzi (lower body) and Justin Abdelkader (lower body) can't play against Toronto, the Red Wings will be without 11 players.

Forward Landon Ferraro was the latest call-up from Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League when he was recalled Monday in lieu of Abdelkader's injury in the Chicago game.

If Abdelkader can't play, enter Ferraro into the lineup to further turn Detroit into Grand Rapids East.

"Abby got dinged up in the third period [Sunday] night," Red Ken Holland said. "He wasn't able to finish the game. We’re going to assess him here and see how [Monday] goes. We're hoping he's ready to go. We'll know after the morning skate."

Nevertheless, the Wings keep plugging away and remain in the hunt for their 23rd straight playoff appearance. Two big points tonight would help.
