DETROIT - The start time for the Detroit Red Wings home game on Sunday, March 26 against the Minnesota Wild has been moved from its original start time of 7:00 p.m. to a 12:30 p.m. puck drop. The game will now air on NBC at 12:30 p.m.
The time change was made because of the Red Wings game at Carolina the following night (March 27). That game was rescheduled from Dec. 19 due to unplayable ice conditions, giving Detroit three games in three days (March 26 vs. Minnesota; March 27 at Carolina; March 28 at Carolina).
Doors to Joe Louis Arena will now open at 11:00 a.m. on March 26 for the 12:30 p.m. puck drop between the Red Wings and Wild. The first 5,000 fans at The Joe will receive a Red Wings Beach Towel, presented by DTE.
