DETROIT - The Detroit Red Wings have teamed up with the American Red Cross to support disaster relief efforts, including aid for victims of Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma. During the months of September and October, the team will host various opportunities for fans to join the Red Wings in supporting the cause. Already this month, Detroit Red Wings and Olympia Entertainment colleagues united with the Detroit Tigers to donate toiletries and clothing to the Detroit Police Department's "Houston Relief Run," a donation drive to support Houston, Texas first responders.

"The recent devastation left behind by Hurricane Harvey, and impending harm expected from Hurricane Irma, affects many Red Wings fans across our country," said Kevin Brown, Director of Community Relations & Detroit Red Wings Foundation. "Today we are asking our partners and fans - locally and abroad - to join the entire Red Wings organization in supporting the recovery efforts as communities, families and individuals seek to rebuild after these devastating natural disasters."
