DETROIT – The Detroit Red Wings today announced that the start time for their Thursday, October 13 showdown with the Western Conference champion Vancouver Canucks has been moved from 7:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. so as to allow fans the opportunity to watch Game 5 of the American League Championship Series between the Detroit Tigers and Texas Rangers in its entirety. Doors to Joe Louis Arena will still open at 6:00 p.m.

Fewer than 1,000 seats remain available for Thursday night’s contest as the Red Wings shoot for their 30th consecutive sellout at The Joe.  The first 7,500 fans in attendance for this match will receive a free Pavel Datsyuk bobblehead courtesy of AT&T while five lucky fans who receive a specially-marked bobblehead will also win a post-game meet-and-greet with the superstar center. Tickets to all upcoming Red Wings home games are available at the Joe Louis Arena Box Office (313-396-7575), all Ticketmaster (800-745-3000) outlets, and online at DetroitRedWings.com.
